Workshop Sessions & Other Events

The Anger Management workshops are a series of three independent courses. Each course runs over a five week period and are structured to give individuals the information and tools enabling them to attain a more balanced lifestyle.

This support group aims to create a safe place to help and support the participants to work through their anger issues, adjusting and adapting their behaviour to their environment, this will hopefully allow them to interact with others more positively.

  • The group will be managed by CBT trained Counsellors. Group members are free to contribute as little or as much as they chose.
  • The criteria for attending the group is that participant must be over 18 years old and unemployed at the start of workshop.
  • Please enrol for this course below, if you or someone you know, would like to take part.

This is an 8 week course designed especially for Young People of 11 to 18 years. It is imaginative and uses creativity as a means to encourage talking and exploring what can be painful feelings. The course shows that it is acceptable to talk of death, loss and grief.

Young People will be supported and encouraged to show their creativity, designing memory boxes, calendars of potentially difficult dates, to retain good memories, work through their loss, recognising their support network and look to the future holding onto good memories.

This group comprises a series of 10 workshops which offer a mixture of emotional support within the group and advice and information from various local agencies who can give direct, practical help and support.

We see this group as a means to help grandparents be aware of, and access, available local resources, in addition to helping them establish social links for the future emotional support.

Each week’s workshop is a complete unit and it is hoped that the Grandparents attending will come to the complete course. However; it is possible for an attendee to come to any workshop that fits in with their commitments.

There will be workshops on Anger Management and Alcohol and opportunities to find out more about volunteering, training and accessibility to training and more about the workplace. The attendee will have the opportunity to open a “skills bank” and be introduced to computers.
